Wedding in the courtyard at 21 Main Events at North Beach

I recently had another wedding in the beautiful courtyard at 21 Main Events at North Beach in North Myrtle Beach. This wedding was for friends of mine, Cori and Jon, that I know from working out at Crossfit Asperitas. The groomsmen were getting ready in an apartment close by the ceremony location so I started …

Intimate wedding in the courtyard at 21 Main Events at North Beach

This was my first time photographing a wedding ceremony in the beautiful courtyard at 21 Main Events at North Beach. This restaurant is located near the North Beach Plantation towers in North Myrtle Beach. This was a small and intimate wedding ceremony without a bridal party. The bride didn’t want a lot getting ready pictures …

Family portraits at North Beach Plantation with my previous wedding couple

I had to put up a quick post about this family of three because I also shot their wedding pictures back in 2011!  It was really fun getting to see a previous wedding couple again after so many years, this time with a new addition to the family. Their new baby girl was also a …

Hilton at Kingston Plantation wedding with a ceremony on the beach

This was the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at the Myrtle Beach Hilton at Kingston Plantation where the couple had a ceremony on the beach sand. At many of my beach weddings, the bride ends up squinting from the sun. Because of the large Hilton tower in the background, this ceremony area was nicely …

Outdoor wedding at the Barefoot Resort Dye Club with a wild cake cutting and sparkler exit

It’s been a number of years since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Dye Club in Barefoot Resort. I’m glad to be back there for a wedding it’s a very pretty area. The Dye Club has a very traditionally elegant dining room with enough tables for a large group. I lit some of the candles …

Small destination wedding at North Beach Plantation

This is my first time photographing a wedding at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Build in 2009, this is one of the newest large hotels in this area and I think it’s one of the nicest looking. North Beach Plantation has two large towers that are joined together by a couple of archways, …

Wedding at Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation

I had another wedding at Kingston Plantation up in North Myrtle Beach this past weekend.  Everything went really smoothly. I think it was the largest wedding party I’ve ever had.  I actually just looked at one of the pictures again to count, it looks like 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen.  I had to do one …

Wedding at the Hilton at Kingston Plantation

This was probably one of my favorite weddings this month so far.  It was a really nice location behind the Hilton and the weather and everything worked out really good.  It’s always better when the ceremony is closer to sunset like this one was, the only problem is we really had to rush to get …

Fun reception in the rain

Last weekend I had two weddings both outdoors.  The weather has been extremely hot, two weddings in the heat is really a killer.  I don’t have time to post many pictures, but I picked out some that I liked from my Sunday wedding in North Myrtle Beach.  I’m already loading into my computer more wedding pictures from today, in June things are kind of non stop.  The wedding shown below was quite a party, they really had some fun.  I’ve never seen a first dance quite like they did, but I like it when things are just fun and everyone is more relaxed.

Wedding in Kingston Plantation, North Myrtle Beach

I loved almost all the pictures from last weekend’s wedding at Kingston Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. They had to move the wedding inside because of the rain, but with really nice light coming in the windows I thought it turned out really nice.  The Nikon D700 is almost noiseless at the iso800 I was shooting at, that way the beautiful ambient light coming in the windows lit the scene, I just used the flash to put a little sparkle in the eyes.  I’m putting a few of the images below, if I upload any more shots they can be seen in my live photo stream at http://www.ryansmithphotography.com/live_stream.html.
