This is my first time doing a wedding at the newly renovated 104 Laurel Street event venue in Conway, SC. It’s located right near the south end of the Conway Riverwalk, very close to the old Peanut Warehouse. In fact, in this one weekend, I had a wedding at the Peanut Warehouse on Saturday, then on Sunday I had this wedding at 104 Laurel. For both weddings I took the couples down to the Riverwalk for some beautiful pictures. It’s been a number of years since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Peanut Warehouse in Conway, SC. They have done some remodeling and there are now a lot of hanging lights over the large ceremony area. I’ve always loved the rustic look of the warehouse, the way you can see sunlight filter through cracks in the old wood boards along the walls. Now that the busy season is over I’m going to post pictures from some of my weddings from earlier in the year. I always love going to Wildberry Farm in Marion, SC for weddings. Especially when the garden flowers are in bloom. I remember this wedding especially because it was one of the hottest days of the summer, and there wasn’t any breeze at all! I had a lot of fun photographing another recent wedding at Upper Mill Plantation in Bucksville, SC. This wedding’s bride was also a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few months back. The bride from that wedding was a bridesmaid in this one as well, you can view her bridal portraits in a post here. Bridal portraits at Upper Mill Plantation in Bucksville

I had a lot of fun shooting bridal portraits at Upper Mill Plantation this past spring. This bride and groom just got married at the plantation on Saturday, so I’m now able to post some of these pictures. Upper Mill Plantation has a lot of pretty photography spots. We started out walking to the pond near the entrance to the area. This marsh area has lots of moss covered oak trees growing from water. The combination of the sunset reflecting off the water and the light filtering through the trees is a really beautiful backdrop for a bridal portrait. Next …

Going into these engagement pictures, we knew that the Conway River Walk was completely flooded and inaccessible because of Hurricane Matthew. It was even a foot and a half higher than last year’s record flooding. This couple wanted to do pictures in Conway, so we had to find other locations besides the River Walk to do the portraits. They suggested doing pictures on Oak Street, I wasn’t really familiar with that area, but I always like trying somewhere new. Oak Street in downtown Conway is actually very pretty. Springtime country wedding at Wildberry Farm with an outdoor ceremony – Marion, SC

This was my second time photographing a country wedding at Wildberry Farm near Marion, SC. Since this wedding was in late spring, the flowers in the garden were blooming, and the grass and trees were all green. These were things I missed out on at my earlier winter wedding there.  Instead of having the ceremony inside the chapel, they set up the chairs and arbor on the lawn beside the lake. This was my first time photographing a wedding at La Belle Amie Vineyard in Little River, SC. The ceremony was held on the beautiful lawn looking out towards the lake and rows of grapevines. The clouds looked dark and ominous before the ceremony, but it still wasn’t raining, and the weather forecast looked like the rain might pass us by. The couple decided to go ahead and go for the outdoor ceremony. Winter wedding at Wildberry Farm in Marion, SC

This was my first time photographing a wedding at Wildberry Farm in Marion. It’s similar to another old farm location I loved from a previous wedding. Wildberry Farm is a beautiful area with a small wedding chapel, a house for the bride to get ready, and a huge reception area. They have a couple of old barns that also make for some good photo spots. It’s unusual for me to have a wedding in the middle of January.
