Photographing a wedding at The Ivy Place in Lancaster, SC

The Ivy Place in Lancaster, SC, is the farthest I’ve traveled to photograph a wedding, a little over 3 hours each way. I was tired on the drive home, but it wasn’t a bad trip. It was biker week in Myrtle Beach, so I’m glad my wedding was out of the area. The Ivy Place is a lovely wedding location near Charlotte, and it reminds me of weddings I’ve done in Charleston and Brookgreen Gardens. Two engagement photography sessions at the Conway Riverwalk, one with a Poodle

I like to do engagement sessions for my upcoming weddings during this slower time of the year. I recently had two sets of wedding clients that wanted to do engagement pictures at the Conway River Walk, so I combined photos from both their sessions into one post. I’m a little partial to the first set below because they had a poodle that looks almost like my dog Penny. Wedding ceremony at the Conway River Walk

I’m going to try something a little different with my blog posts.  Instead of just posting the same pictures I post in my galleries and Facebook, I will post a lot more here, although many of them won’t have any Photoshop work or touchups like pictures in my main gallery. Wedding reception at the Conway River Walk

I had a fun wedding reception a couple of weeks ago in the Conway River Walk area, specifically at the Peanut Warehouse.  The Conway area is a small historic town about 20 minutes away from Myrtle Beach.  Conway has a really pretty area on the river, with some nearby railroad tracks that are no longer used, which makes for a great photo location.  This couple already had their wedding ceremony in Italy.
