Absolutely cannot recommend Ryan Smith Photography enough! Ryan was beyond amazing throughout our entire wedding experience. Our wedding day in early October was rained out due to a nor’easter, and Ryan immediately insisted we schedule another day to get the outdoor photos we had dreamed of. This was such a welcomed surprise—it made our wedding memories stretch out even longer and gave me a wonderful reason to wear my dress again!
On the day of our retakes, it rained again, but Ryan was so calm and patient. He waited it out with us, and thanks to his flexibility, we were able to get the photos we wanted without having to redo my hair and makeup. Ryan’s dedication, professionalism, and kindness truly set him apart. He went above and beyond to make sure we had beautiful memories to cherish forever.
We are still eagerly awaiting our full gallery, but Ryan already sent us sneak peek photos immediately after meeting up with him yesterday evening, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us even more excited to see the rest. Ryan did an amazing job with our engagement photos! The lighting and completed edits of the photos are phenomenal. There are so many photos to choose from and I know we will treasure these forever. There are a handful of events in life that you really want to ensure that the memories are captured in a way that you can look back on them later in life and feel like you are right back in that moment! Our family has been through a lot in the past few years and while we are on a family vacation this past May we really wanted to freeze time for a bit and celebrate the good memories, the happy times! I found Ryan by happenstance but from the moment we started chatting about the importance of these photos he was incredibly understanding of our situation and the meaning behind our photos. The session itself was nothing shy of chaotic with a group of our size and 5 kids under 7, but Ryan was amazing in organizing our group and still capturing our vision. When we received our pictures back I couldn’t stop looking at them, we were beyond excited! They were even more than what we were hoping for and know that we will cherish them for years to come! If you are in the Myrtle Beach area and in need of a photographer, look no further, you won’t be disappointed!

I hired Ryan Smith Photography in August 2024 to photograph my family during our vacation in North Myrtle Beach. It was a last minute trip and I contacted Ryan less than two weeks in advance. He was immediately responsive, communicated clearly, and was accommodating of my short timeline. I was unfamiliar with the area and he helped me pick a location, provided directions, entrance pass, and suggested the best time (he basically planned it all for me!) The actual session felt organic and was fun, and that was quite an accomplishment because I had 9 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 tiny baby in my group. Ryan maximized our time slot to capture several subsets of our group with multiple backdrops (tree line, ocean, pier). He was so professional and I literally could not recommend him more. His work is beautiful, high quality, and my family will cherish these photos forever.

What can we say!!! We got married in August in the middle of Hurricane Debby! Ryan was AMAZING! We hired Ryan to photograph our wedding and he DID NOT disappoint. From the time I reached out to Ryan to inquire about his wedding packages, up until the wedding his communication and professionalism was top notch. He was quick to respond to all emails and answer all questions. He listed to what we wanted and ensured he got all the requested shots. He made everyone feel comfortable the entire time, even my husband who hates pictures. The day after our wedding we got a few sneak peaks, and they were stunning! Our family planned a summer trip to North Myrtle Beach and thought this was a perfect opportunity for family photos. On a Google search and then by reviewing Instagram, we liked Ryan’s photography and reached out to see if he was available. He spent a full hour with us getting individual shots, family/couple shots and group images. It was a very easy process and he led us to different areas on Huntington State Beach. He was aware of the timing of the sunset for optimal beachfront photos. The photos turned out wonderful - he captured many great smiles and fun moments with the kids. I am very happy that we worked with Ryan to have family photos that we can look back on forever. It was well worth it on a family vacation when everyone was together.
