My family has been scattered across the country for the past several years. We finally have everyone back together for a vacation. I found Ryan Smith simply from a random Google search for photographers in the Myrtle Beach area and I am beyond thankful to have found him. To say I am extremely happy with our photos would be an understatement. They are simply beautiful. I dreamed of something a little "different" than just a beach photo and Ryan delivered. If you are visiting the area or if you are searching for great photographer, you can't go wrong with Ryan Smith.
Ryan is a genuine person that captures beautiful photos! He made my fiancé feel comfortable during our session and took his time to personalize our photo shoot to capture photos we get to cherish for a lifetime. We used Ryan for a family photo shoot during our vacation to Pawley's Island. He was super easy to work with both before, during and after process. Very responsive to emails and questions that I had before and after our photo shoot. Made teen/tween and grandparents feel at ease and accommodated for physical limitations in the grandparents. Photos turned out GREAT despite a cloudy day. The photolab he uses is very comparably priced to other online photolabs and the products we purchased turned out great. Would highly recommend. I wish we lived closer so we could use him for senior pictures in a couple of years!

Of all the choices I’ve made for my wedding, choosing Ryan Smith Photography was likely the best one. Ryan showed up early on the day of and checked in with me immediately upon arrival and went straight to work. He was so much fun, personable, and professional. He turned the photos around quickly and responded to all of my emails immediately. Everyone loved him. My family and friends are still talking about him! I have a condition that makes my eyes look a bit strange in pictures sometimes and I was concerned about my wedding photos looking distorted. I had spoken with Ryan and he was very respectful of this. I was sure that there would be a number of pictures that I would not love because of my eye. We chose Ryan to photograph our destination wedding after doing quite a bit of online research of photographers in the area and are absolutely thrilled that we did! We met with Ryan once at his office about 2 months before our wedding to go over everything we envisioned for our big day and we knew even then we had made the right choice. The day of the wedding he was tremendous with trying to catch all of the right moments and angles without even being noticed. He sent us a few preview photos a couple of days later and then in less than 3 weeks we had the entire gallery emailed to us. The pictures are absolutely fantastic and we could not be more thrilled. He caught every big moment of our day yet somehow I can't recall him being around during the ceremony or during the reception (in my opinion that is a huge compliment!). If you are reading this and considering hiring Ryan for your event, take my advice and do it, you will not be disappointed.

Ryan did our family photos while we were on vacation in Garden City Beach! We have a huge family of 22 (10 adults and 12 kids). He was extremely patient, kind, efficient, and understanding when the kiddos needed a min! Didn’t rush us at all… we got the photos back in 2 weeks. Ryan was great to work with and we got some great family photos!

Ryan was amazing from the first email to the last photo taken. Very professional, suggested a great location, and had great posing ideas. We traveled from Missouri and on a whim, brought a prom dress for a couple shots of our daughter and now we have the most amazing impromptu senior pics. If we lived closer, Ryan will be our only photographer.

We had a wonderful experience with Ryan! Days before the photo shoot, we had horrible weather come in. On the day of the shoot, it was raining hard, dark sky and didn’t look so good. I sent him an email and asked what his thoughts were in reference to canceling and he said “I’ve had days similar to this that turned into the best photo shoots, let’s wait and see”. We waited down to the minute and THE WEATHER GOT BETTER! I’m so grateful and the family photos turned out great! I highly recommend him!
