Windy wedding day with a beautiful bride on the Veranda of the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach

I’m in my really slow time of the year now, so I thought I would go back to one of my fall weddings I didn’t have time to post yet on my blog. This wedding was at one of my most frequented locations, the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. This couple was extremely easygoing, happy, and having fun all day. I think it helped that it was a small bridal party which always makes things a little less stressful. I loved the bride’s dress. It had a lot of unique detailing up top, I don’t think I’ve seen one quite like that before. They also had a one year old son dressed up in his cute little suit.

I think my favorite shots of the day were of the bride looking out the upstairs window and one of her standing in the doorway with the dress flowing behind. The upstairs windows at the Ocean Club always let in a soft light that is great for pictures of the bride. The wedding ceremony itself was held on the veranda behind the club. It was an unusually windy day. You can see in the pictures that the couple wasn’t bothered by it. They were just very happy, smiling and laughing the whole time. Because of the wind, taking pictures on the beach was almost impossible. The area around the clubhouse, like by the front door with the columns and the lawn over to the side, gives some nice protection. Despite the wind and bad weather, we even managed to get a few on the beach. The reception with Paul Matthews as the DJ was also great and everyone had a lot of fun partying and dancing.

I hope you enjoy the pictures below. Please let me know in the comments if you do.
