It’s been a while since I posted pictures from a beach house wedding on my blog, so I thought this recent intimate wedding in Pawleys Island would be a great opportunity. Kristi and Che had a beautiful beach house near the southern end of Pawleys Island at 492 Myrtle Ave. This house is unique, surrounded by dense trees and foliage pushing up against either side, and has beautiful shaded views from the porches and beach walkway. We had a hot and windy day at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach for this May wedding. I started out getting some great shots with Wing Wong of Salon and Spa 18 doing the bride’s hair. I also got to work with Luminous Event Films for the first time, he was great to work with as well. It’s always nice when the photographer and videographer can get along really well. It’s great to be back at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. This was my first wedding of 2018 at this location. It’s also great to be working again with some of the best wedding vendors in Myrtle Beach. This is my first time photographing a wedding at the remodeled Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. It always looked nice, but they did make some changes that give a lot more space inside the ballroom and dining area. They completely removed the fireplace which really opens up the area for a larger number of guests and more tables. They also painted everything, put down new carpets, lights and other things.  One of the changes I especially noticed, because I do a lot of pictures there, is the new doors at the front. There are always a couple of winter months when no one wants portraits done outdoors or on the beach. Nice evening for engagement portraits at the Myrtle Beach State Park

I’ve been doing a lot of family pictures recently. It was nice to have some engagement portraits instead.
