I haven’t posted a wedding from Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club in a while, even though it’s one of my most frequent wedding locations in Pawleys Island. It was great to be back at Pine Lakes Country Club for the wedding of Emily and Fin. We had lovely Spring weather for their April 29th date, except for some thunderstorms rolling in at the end of the day. My last wedding at Pine Lake Country Club was in the fall of 2020. It’s almost time again for the busy season in Myrtle Beach, so I wanted to make one last blog post about a unique wedding last summer. This wedding was on July 3rd, 2022, at my favorite wedding venue, 21 Main Events at North Beach. This wedding was unusual in that we did everything in the courtyard. This time of the year, I love to look back at some beautiful weddings I didn’t have time to post on my blog. Elizabeth and Tyler were married last summer on May 29th. Their wedding was a little unusual for Pawleys Plantation. Instead of having the ceremony on the golf course, they wanted a wedding on the beach. Annika and Ronnie were one of the many couples in Myrtle Beach that had to move their wedding from its original date because of Covid-19. They even had to change from their original venue to Wachesaw Plantation. Wachesaw Plantation is located a little south of Myrtle Beach in the Murrells Inlet area. This venue change ended up being for the best. The Kimbels in Wachesaw Plantation is one of the best venues in Myrtle Beach for photography. It’s been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, so it was very nice to be back. Alexandra and Derek, the bride and groom, are both school teachers. A lot of the wedding decorations and details featured books and related items. I especially liked the classic typewriter they had on the entrance table with a poem typed out on the paper.
