This was my first time photographing a wedding at the historic Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown. This is located at the end of the Harborwalk on the Sampit River in Georgetown. This house was built back in the mid 1700’s by a wealthy SC merchant. Sometimes I forget what a long history Georgetown has. After many renovations and changes, this is a very beautiful area for a wedding ceremony. I always love weddings at the Carriage House in Magnolia Plantation. Cassie and Caleb are a really sweet and easy going couple that was great to work with. Their wedding was on August 28th, so it was a really hot and humid day in Charleston. Thankfully, there is lots of beautiful shade under the mossy oaks. I always love taking portraits for Ornelie and Matt. I did photography for their African themed wedding in Raleigh a few years ago. Next, their one year anniversary portraits at the Conway Riverwalk. It’s great to finish out the 2020 season with some amazing weddings. Even though the weddings have been a little smaller this year because of Covid, I’ve had some of my favorites. The Kimbels restaurant in Wachesaw Plantation is one of the most beautiful locations in the Myrtle Beach area. Especially if you are looking for trees and moss instead of the beach. I had the privilege of photographing a recent wedding at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach for one of it’s previous presidents. This couple was so extremely friendly, nice and relaxed about everything it made my job very easy. When I first arrived at the clubhouse, the bride’s children and grandchildren hadn’t yet arrived. This was my second wedding this year at the beautiful Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet, SC. Some of my favorite wedding pictures in my galleries have been from Wachesaw Plantation. Symmes, the bride, began her preparations at Stox & Co salon in Litchfield. I met them there to get some pictures of the hair and makeup prep and just some fun pictures of the bridesmaids hanging out before getting dressed. Engagement pictures at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island

I had a fun winter engagement session at Pawleys Island’s Caledonia Golf & Fish Club this past weekend. This is a beautiful former site of a southern rice plantation located along the Waccamaw River. The best feature here is the entrance roadway. It’s surrounded by centuries old live oak trees with their moss covered branches overhanging the roadway. I’ve noticed for engagement pictures in Myrtle Beach. Couples are usually looking for either beach pictures or for an area with a lot of large trees where the sunlight can filter through the moss.
