Rainy wedding day at the Grand Dunes Resort Golf Club in Myrtle Beach

Like many recent couples, Mary and Inman had to make some last minute changes to their wedding plans because of Covid-19. The were originally supposed to have a big ceremony back in the bride’s home country of Venezuela. This ended up not being possible, with all the current travel restrictions. In just a few weeks time, they planned a whole new wedding in Myrtle Beach! They contacted me just a couple of weeks before the wedding date. Since their date was a Friday in February, I was available and happy to do it. Wedding at the Ocean Drive Church in …

Sunset ceremony facing the clubhouse at Pine Lakes Country Club

Intimate Beach House wedding Shannon and Lawrence had a lot of changes to their wedding schedule this year because of Covid-19. I first did bridal portraits for Shannon at Pine Lakes Country Club, back in February, before we had any idea how difficult things would get. You can check them out on my blog here. Their wedding at Pine Lakes was supposed to take place back in April, of course this is when all the Covid social distancing restrictions were at their strictest. They decided to go ahead and get married with a very private beach house ceremony. I actually …

To see more of my recent sessions follow me on Facebook and Instagram. Wedding for a pro bodybuilder and NFL player at the Grande Dunes Members Club

I was recently working on an example photo album for Vasilika, the catering manager at the Grande Dunes Members Club. Be sure to check the album out if visiting the Members Club to book a wedding. When looking for pictures I came across this wedding from a few years back. I miss posting pictures to my blog from many past weddings because I get so busy. This was a fun and unique wedding so I thought it deserved it’s own post! The bride was a retired professional bodybuilder and the groom was a retired NFL Player so they were a …

Beautiful winter wedding for an older couple at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club

I had the privilege of photographing a recent wedding at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach for one of it’s previous presidents. This couple was so extremely friendly, nice and relaxed about everything it made my job very easy. When I first arrived at the clubhouse, the bride’s children and grandchildren hadn’t yet arrived. We just chatted for a while and I went around and got detail pictures of the ballroom decorations. The beautiful flowers on the tables were by South Gate Design, and they also had the Tim Clark Band there for music. They are a …

Beautiful sunset pictures with a happy bride and groom at Pawleys Plantation

Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, SC is still one of my favorite wedding locations. The staff is great and everything is always well organized. Sunsets are also beautiful in front of the clubhouse and out of the golf course itself. Kiely and Carson, the bride and groom, had some of the best smiles I’ve had with a wedding couple. In almost every picture, especially when they looked at each other, they had huge natural smiles and looked very happy. This always makes it easy to get great pictures. If you want to skip down and just see the sunset pictures …

Spring wedding at River Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh, NC

This was my first time traveling to Raleigh, NC for a wedding. Even though the golf club was a 3 hour drive for me, it’s always nice to visit a new location for a wedding and to get to know new wedding vendors. I met the bride and groom, Ornelie and Matt, doing engagement pictures for them here in Myrtle Beach. They loved the engagement pictures so they wanted me to travel to Raleigh for their wedding photography as well! When I arrived the bride was just finishing up her makeup in the upstairs room, and the groom was getting …

Winter wedding at the Litchfield Country Club in Pawleys Island

This fun wedding at the Litchfield Country Club in Pawleys Island was a great way to start the 2019 wedding season! Even though it was early in March, the temperature was perfect. It was overcast for most of the day including during the ceremony. However, the sun poked out from the clouds just in time for some beautiful sunset shots of the couple on the golf course. The bride didn’t want a lot of getting ready shots so I arrived about 30 min before the ceremony. I still had time for a few pictures after she put on her dress …

Bridal portraits at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club

I was just completing the wedding album for Sarah and Jeff, the bride and groom from a beautiful wedding this past October 27th. I remembered that I never posted pictures from Sarah’s bridal portrait session from about a month before the wedding. These bridal portraits were taken at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club, the same location as their wedding. Pawleys Plantation is one of my favorite venues for photography, you can read more about this location in my featured blog category here. I started out taking pictures of the bride in front of the clubhouse. I always love the …

Spring wedding at Pawleys Plantation with a fun band and great sunset

I recently photographed another great wedding at Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island. Like I’ve mentioned before this is one of my favorite locations and I usually photograph a number of weddings here each year. The staff always does a great job with the organization, decorations and catering and things always go very smoothly. We had great weather for the wedding ceremony on the lawn behind the golf club. The only problem was the strong sun in the bride’s face during the ceremony, thankfully the groom was tall enough to give her some shade. I always like to shoot a couple …
