Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is one of my favorite locations for weddings, senior portraits, maternity portraits, and engagement pictures in the Myrtle Beach area. I even occasionally take family pictures there if they prefer not to be on the beach. All year they have the beautiful centuries-old moss-covered oaks along the Waccamaw River that make a fantastic background for pictures. I always love when a wedding can bring together a happy new family. I was working on the wedding album for Marshall and Lindsey and thought this would be a great wedding to post to my blog. Their wedding was held last November 5th at one of my favorite venues, the Dunes Golf & Beach Club at the north end of Myrtle Beach. This is a beautiful location for a wedding, with a lawn overlooking the ocean for the ceremony, a large ballroom for the reception, and a great staff that I always enjoy working with. Summer wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach

It’s been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, so it was very nice to be back. Alexandra and Derek, the bride and groom, are both school teachers. A lot of the wedding decorations and details featured books and related items. I especially liked the classic typewriter they had on the entrance table with a poem typed out on the paper. I used the poem and books for some cool macro shots of the rings. The seating assignment cards for the guests were made to look like a library card catalog …

The Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club has been one of my favorite wedding locations for many years now. They have some new event staff at Pawleys Plantation I met for the first time. They were very friendly and everything went smoothly with the ceremony and reception. They also remodeled the ballroom a while back with a more modern look and nicer colors.
