Bride and groom with classic car at night - Dunes Golf and Beach Club

Fall wedding at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club with a large bridal party and lots of dancing

I had a great time photographing Ashley and Dustin’s fun wedding at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach. This was one of those weddings that got a little wild later in the evening. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor and in the photo booth. I actually shot Ashley’s brother’s wedding back in 2017 at the Grande Dunes Members Club. They had a great dance party at their wedding as well. The Dunes Golf and Beach Club is a unique location for a wedding. I can’t think of anywhere else nearby that has both the beach …

Groomsmen and bridesmaids cheering for bride and groom while they kiss - Kaminski House Museum

Wedding on the lawn at the Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown, SC

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the historic Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown. This is located at the end of the Harborwalk on the Sampit River in Georgetown. This house was built back in the mid 1700’s by a wealthy SC merchant. Sometimes I forget what a long history Georgetown has. After many renovations and changes, this is a very beautiful area for a wedding ceremony. There are huge oaks and lots of foliage on the bank of the river that make a beautiful background for the ceremony and pictures after. Thankfully, Georgetown isn’t like it used …

First ever wedding on the front lawn Pawleys Plantation

First wedding ever on the front lawn of Pawleys Plantation

I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful wedding ceremony on the front lawn of Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC. This was the first time Pawleys Plantation held a wedding in the front of the clubhouse. Typically the weddings are held on the back lawn overlooking the golf course. The bride needed the wedding to be in the front so that she could ride a horse drawn carriage with her father right up to the ceremony location. I always love working with Heritage Carriages, I’ve done a number of weddings with them and it always …

Sunset kiss by the palm trees - Doubletree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach

Winter wedding at the Doubletree Resort in Myrtle Beach

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Doubletree Resort by Hilton since it changed owners. They have recently done some remodeling that makes it a much nicer location for weddings then when it was the Springmaid Resort.  The large room where receptions are held still has the look of a conference center with fluorescent type lighting. But with some extra decorations and lighting it looks quite nice, and it’s a very large area with a big dance floor that can fit many guests. There is also a pretty terrace area that overlooks the ocean where the guests can …

Brides veil blowing in the wind - Pawleys Plantation

Fun wedding at Pawleys Plantation with a large bridal party, great band and lots of dancing!

This was the last of my three consecutive weddings in two weekends at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. This was a really big wedding with a large bridal party, a reception in the main ballroom and a great live band. I sent my assistant over to take pictures with the groom and groomsmen as they got ready at Pawleys Plantation. I went over to Litchfield Plantation where the bride was getting ready. This was the same location where I did engagement pictures with the couple previously. Litchfield Plantation has a beautiful entrance roadway that is covered by old oak …

Sunset behind the clubhouse - Grande Dunes Ocean Club

Fun beach wedding with a large bridal party – Ocean Club at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach

I always have a lot of fun photographing weddings at the Ocean Club at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. My latest beach wedding for Sara and John was no exception. Sara had me arrive a little earlier then usual to start taking pictures, about 2 1/2 hours before the ceremony. This turned out to be a good idea with 11 groomsmen and 9 bridesmaids in the party! I always warn my couples if you have a really big bridal party, plan on everything running an hour later than you think. Samantha, the wedding coordinator at the Ocean Club, had the …

First dance at Wachesaw Plantation

Beautiful Afternoon wedding at Wachesaw Plantation

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Wachesaw Plantation for a wedding. It’s a really pretty wedding site on the Waccamaw River, it’s especially nice at sunset the way the light filters through the many trees. The bride and groom at this wedding wanted to do a first look so they could get most of the wedding pictures done before the ceremony. That is actually a nice way to do things because the couple can start having fun as soon as the ceremony is over. This also means though that most of the pictures would be done earlier in the day …

Wedding at Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation

I had another wedding at Kingston Plantation up in North Myrtle Beach this past weekend.  Everything went really smoothly. I think it was the largest wedding party I’ve ever had.  I actually just looked at one of the pictures again to count, it looks like 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen.  I had to do one shot during the wedding ceremony where I combined 3 different pictures into a panorama to get the entire wedding party without seeing the backs of the audience.  Photoshop is amazing for stitching panoramas like that.  One of my favorite shots below was the party pretending to play …
