I had a great end to my photography season with two end of the year weddings on the 27th and 28th of December. I have been keeping busy lately with weddings at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. This wedding was the first of four weddings there just in the month of May! It’s always great working with the staff like Samantha Huff at the Ocean Club, I’ve gotten to know them very well and they always do a great job. I always have a lot of fun photographing weddings at the Ocean Club at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. My latest beach wedding for Sara and John was no exception. Sara had me arrive a little earlier then usual to start taking pictures, about 2 1/2 hours before the ceremony. This turned out to be a good idea with 11 groomsmen and 9 bridesmaids in the party! Small destination wedding at North Beach Plantation

This is my first time photographing a wedding at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Built in 2009, this is one of the newest large hotels in this area, and I think it’s one of the best looking. North Beach Plantation has two large towers joined by a couple of archways, and I got some nice wide-angle shots with both towers in the background. I think a beach house wedding is a great idea if you plan a smaller, more intimate ceremony and if it is the time of the year when the weather is nice. I’ve had a lot of previous clients that will rent a large beach house, have the wedding down on the beach, and then have the reception in the house’s backyard.
