My favorite Myrtle Beach family pictures from the first half of 2021

2021 has been one of my busiest years ever with family pictures in Myrtle Beach. I’ve been referring so many people to my photography friends, but most of them are booked up as well. After last year, everyone is ready to get out of the house and have some fun on the beach. I really hope Myrtle Beach can keep this up and we have a great next year as well!

During my busy summer season, I’m taking family portraits almost every day, in lots of different locations around the Myrtle Beach area. While I can’t post pictures from every session, I post very frequently on my Instagram page. I would love to get some more followers there and you can keep up with my latest work. You will notice most of my pictures are from the Huntington Beach State Park. I highly recommend that location. It’s less crowded, has a lot of variety in backgrounds for the pictures, and there are some sheltered areas if it’s very windy. However, I’m happy to do pictures anywhere along the Grand Strand. I just like to remind clients, if we only have the beach and no sheltered areas, try to plan hairstyles and outfits for a possibly very windy day.

I’ve had a lot of fun family and senior portrait sessions so far this year. I had a number of repeat clients. One previous wedding client, I now do their family pictures every year up in Ocean Isle Beach. I have another couple I took their engagement, wedding, anniversary and now maternity portraits. Check out their beautiful recent maternity session at Caledonia Golf on my blog. Another couple, I took their wedding pictures 10 years ago, they recently came back with their two kids for beach pictures. I always love getting to see some clients over and over again.

Of course I’ve had my share of difficult babies and kids, I always try to be extremely patient no matter how bad things get. Usually, if they get a chance to run around the beach for a while, they will cheer up and we will get some smiles. On the other hand, I’ve had some of the cutest babies this year, being stuck at home during Covid last year might be having some results! I’ve also have a lot of families bring along their dogs for the family pictures, I always love getting to take doggie pics as well. One of my favorite sessions was a family/maternity portrait session that turned into a surprise marriage proposal. I even got to take family pictures for one of my favorite DJ’s in the area.

I’m currently booked up until almost the end of August. However, I’m still very open for the fall of this year. If you are looking to have some fun family pictures in Myrtle Beach please let me know. I would be happy to help you make some great memories! Enjoy the pictures below and let me know in the comments how you like them.
