Kiss on the cheek - Litchfield Country Club

Vintage wedding styles at Litchfield Country Club in Pawleys Island

With my photography work slowing down, I finally have time to post more pictures from some of my favorite weddings in 2023. This was a small, intimate wedding on October 8th for Madison, Caleb, and their daughter as the flower girl. I loved the vintage old Hollywood style of the bride and groom with the bride’s bright red lipstick and the groom’s pinstripe suit. They were an amazing couple, and I took some beautiful sunset pictures of them on the golf course at Litchfield Country Club in Pawleys Island. When I arrived for their Sunday wedding, I was happy it …

Touching noses - Oak Allee - Night of a Thousand Candles - Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens wedding on the Night of a Thousand Candles

I always love photographing weddings at Brookgreen Gardens. However, I’ve never had the opportunity to shoot a wedding during the Night of a Thousand Candles. During these special evenings in December, thousands of lights hang from the trees, and hand-lit candles light the paths and pools around the gardens. It’s a beautiful time to be in Brookgreen. Quick review of the Nikon Z6 II with my family and engagement portraits in Myrtle Beach

I’ve been using Nikon DSLR cameras for about 13 years professionally, and even longer when it was just my hobby. However, I had a lot of concerns about switching. I will go over some of those below and why I’ve ended up loving the …

How to do an unforgettable surprise marriage proposal in Myrtle Beach

I photograph many surprise marriage proposals yearly in the Myrtle Beach area, and so far, everyone has said yes to the proposal! From proposals in the pouring rain, sunset rides on horseback, the couple’s kids holding “will you marry me signs in the background” to literally jumping for joy, I’ve captured so many unforgettable memories. I get many emails asking for help setting this up, so I thought I would make a blog post with my usual recommendations and how I photograph the proposal and engagement pictures afterward. At the end of the post are about 50 photos from a …

Bride with veil flowing behind her Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club

Bridal portraits at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club

I was just completing the wedding album for Sarah and Jeff, the bride and groom from a beautiful wedding this past October 27th. I remembered that I never posted pictures from Sarah’s bridal portrait session from about a month before the wedding. These bridal portraits were taken at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club, the same location as their wedding. Pawleys Plantation is one of my favorite venues for photography, you can read more about this location in my featured blog category here. I started out taking pictures of the bride in front of the clubhouse. I always love the …
