Kassidy and Connor – Fall wedding at Pawleys Plantation

I photographed several weddings at Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island this year, as I do every year. It’s one of my favorite locations, with its elegant clubhouse and beautiful spots on the golf course for sunset pictures. Kassidy and Connor were a very sweet couple and a pleasure to work with for their Fall wedding on November 14th. My wife assisted me as a second photographer, so I began with pictures of the bride and bridesmaids, and she took some fun shots of the groomsmen as they got ready. I always like it when brides choose my all-day package, and I have plenty of time for getting-ready pictures.

Connor and Kassidy wanted to do a first look and get some pictures done before the ceremony, with the early November sunset. A few years ago, they cut down many of my favorite shade trees behind the clubhouse near the lake at Pawleys Plantation. This had made it much more difficult for me to take pictures earlier in the day without the shade from these trees. So I’ve explored around in front of the clubhouse and found a great spot on the golf course, with some large trees to shade the early afternoon sun. I took Connor out first and set him up for the first look with Kassidy walking up behind him. After this, we were able to get many of the wedding party photos and some nice portraits of the couple before the ceremony. This gave us the short time we had before sunset, after the ceremony, for family pictures, and then for the two of them on the golf course.

After the family pictures, I took Connor and Kassidy on the golf cart to some of my favorite spots on the golf course. Since we were a little limited on time and there were still a lot of golfers, we skipped one of my favorite spots with an old oak tree and the clubhouse in the background. You can check out this spot at my previous weddings. We did take pictures with the fountain in the lake, on the hill behind the clubhouse, and at the golf course hole overlooking the marsh, with the coast of Pawleys Island in the background. We got plenty of beautiful sunset pictures for the two of them.

Everyone had a blast at the reception, and I got many fun dancing shots. Now that I’m in my slow time of year, I’m working through some of my 2025 weddings. Keep checking back for more weddings, and I hope you enjoy the pictures below.
