Throwing petals after the ceremony - Pawleys Island Beach House

Wedding at Pawleys Plantation with a ceremony on the beach in Pawleys Island

This time of the year, I love to look back at some beautiful weddings I didn’t have time to post on my blog. Elizabeth and Tyler were married last summer on May 29th. Their wedding was a little unusual for Pawleys Plantation. Instead of having the ceremony on the golf course, they wanted a wedding on the beach. So they rented a home on the beach in Pawleys Island and had a trolly take everyone back and forth from the beach. They even had their dog as the ring bearer during the ceremony, which I think is one reason they …

Kiss on the cheek - The Venue at White Oaks Farm

Fall wedding at The Venue at White Oaks Farm

It was great to be back for another wedding at The Venue at White Oaks Farm. You can check out a couple of my previous posts here and here, discussing some of this venue’s benefits. I especially like the clean white look of the interior and the purpose-built rooms for the bride and groom preparations.  The Venue at White Oaks Farm has made a few upgrades since the last time I was there. There is now a concrete patio under the ceremony location’s arches and a paved pathway leading from the reception hall. This would be helpful if the lawn were wet and …

Bride and groom looking at each other framed by a old oak in the background - Pawleys Plantation

Beautiful sunset on the golf course at Pawleys Plantation

I always love Fall weddings at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. It’s so lovely this time of year without the heat and humidity. Matthew and Taylor were a fun and relaxed wedding couple with a small bridal party of the groom’s brothers and the bride’s sister. They had my photo booth at this wedding, so I arrived about an hour early to help my wife set everything up. They had a custom backdrop with a wood lattice and some beautiful foliage. I ended up hanging my gold backdrop behind the lattice; this hid the wall in the background and …

Bride and groom looking into each others eyes - Hidden Acres

Beautiful spring wedding at Hidden Acres in Marion, SC

This has been a very difficult year for brides and thier wedding plans with Covid-19 and the social distancing restrictions. Almost all of my May weddings had to reschedule for later in the year. Thankfully, for Heather and Ethan’s wedding on May 30th, many wedding venues around SC, including Hidden Acres, were beginning to open back up. In fact, by the time I’m making this blog post near the end of June, I’ve had one of the busiest summers I can remember. Heather had chosen my all-day wedding package with no hour restrictions, so my wife Lizeth and I arrived …

Bride touching grooms face under the columns - 21 Main Events

Morning wedding in the courtyard at 21 Main Events – North Myrtle Beach

Wedding Preparations The courtyard at 21 Main Events in North Myrtle Beach is always a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony. This October wedding, with Kristal and Edgar, was a little unusual for me because it was held at 10am in the morning. I was a little worried about the strong sun during the ceremony and for the pictures after. We ended up having some clouds which helped during the ceremony. I also convinced Kristal and Edgar to come back that evening for sunset pictures with just the two of them. My wife was also with me at this wedding, …

Kiss in the sunset with a great balanced composition to the picture Pawleys Plantation

Beautiful sunset pictures with a happy bride and groom at Pawleys Plantation

Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, SC, is still one of my favorite wedding locations. The staff is excellent, and everything is always well organized. Sunsets are also beautiful in front of the clubhouse and out of the golf course itself. Kiely and Carson, the bride and groom, had some of the best smiles I’ve had with a wedding couple. In almost every picture, especially when they looked at each other, they had big natural smiles and looked very happy. This always makes it easy to get great photos. If you want to skip down and see the sunset pictures with …

Very happy couple walking to the ocean - Grande Dunes Ocean Club

Beautiful summer wedding at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach with my photo booth service

I have been keeping busy lately with weddings at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. This wedding was the first of four weddings there just in the month of May! It’s always great working with the staff like Samantha Huff at the Ocean Club, I’ve gotten to know them very well and they always do a great job. This wedding was also organized by Stunning and Brilliant Events and the DJ was Scott and Company. I also got some nice shots of Wing from Salon 18 and Spa doing the bride’s hair before the ceremony. I’ve worked with …

First ever wedding on the front lawn Pawleys Plantation

First wedding ever on the front lawn of Pawleys Plantation

I photographed a beautiful wedding ceremony on the front lawn of Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC. This was the first time Pawleys Plantation held a wedding in front of the clubhouse. Typically the weddings are held on the back lawn overlooking the golf course. The bride needed the wedding in the front to ride a horse-drawn carriage with her father right up to the ceremony location. I always love working with Heritage Carriages, I’ve done many weddings with them, and it always turns out beautiful. The front lawn turned out to be an excellent spot …

Dancing on the cloud wedding photography - Grande Dunes Ocean Club - Myrtle Beach

Fun but windy wedding day at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club & a new photo booth

It’s great to be back at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach. This was my first wedding of 2018 at this location. It’s also great to be working again with some of the best wedding vendors in Myrtle Beach. The wedding planner Sarah McCall of Stunning and Brilliant Events, DJ Ryan Robinson of Globaltruth Entertainment, and Samantha Huff at the Ocean Club. I’m making this blog post in the middle of Hurricane Florence, so I’m really hoping my power stays on. It’s only a category 1 now, so I’m not too worried.  While it wasn’t hurricane-force winds for this …
