I was just completing the wedding album for Sarah and Jeff, the bride and groom from a beautiful wedding this past October 27th. I remembered that I never posted pictures from Sarah’s bridal portrait session from about a month before the wedding. These bridal portraits were taken at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club, the same location as their wedding. Summer wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach

It’s been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, so it was very nice to be back. Alexandra and Derek, the bride and groom, are both school teachers. A lot of the wedding decorations and details featured books and related items. I especially liked the classic typewriter they had on the entrance table with a poem typed out on the paper. I used the poem and books for some cool macro shots of the rings. The seating assignment cards for the guests were made to look like a library card catalog …

I always love going to the Grande Dunes Members Club for weddings. It’s a beautiful clubhouse located on the golf course inside the Grande Dunes. This bride wore a stunning lace-covered ball gown. This is a perfect dress for getting pictures of the bride standing in a doorway with the full dress flowing out behind her. Working with some of my favorite wedding vendors, including Sara from Stunning and Brilliant Events and DJ Scott and Company, was also great.
