Small destination wedding at North Beach Plantation

This is my first time photographing a wedding at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Built in 2009, this is one of the newest large hotels in this area, and I think it’s one of the best looking. North Beach Plantation has two large towers joined by a couple of archways, and I got some nice wide-angle shots with both towers in the background. This couple had a small destination wedding with their family and close friends. They said they would have a big reception when they returned home. I thought it was cool that even though this was a tiny group, they still had a large bridal party, and the pictures looked like they could be from any size wedding. The main difference is that with no reception, I only had to stay about 3 hours total, and it was on a Thursday evening which was nice.

I wish we had more time to walk further south down the beach after the ceremony. North Beach Plantation is on the southern end of Ocean Blvd, with some beautiful lakes and dunes. I never have all the time I want at a wedding, and I’ve learned to work fast. I still got plenty of great pictures of the beautiful sky we had that evening and some fun shots on the gazebo in front of the hotel. I think everything went well. I hope you enjoy the pictures below. Please let me know by commenting below!
